SCRIPT

[Participants seated or standing comfortably, each holding a block]

Narrator (warm, unhurried):
This song speaks about the burdens we carry. Some of these burdens we’ve carried for many years. Others come and go, but all of them can weigh us down.

(Participants slowly lift their blocks so the words can be seen.)

Narrator (gesturing gently toward each block):
Hatred.
Worry.
Greed.
Anger.
Unforgiveness.

(Pause.)

Narrator:
When these burdens pile up, our minds and hearts can feel like they are at war.

But today, we are reminded that Jesus invites us to lay them down.
