A Ready-to-Use Ministry Model

Contagious Joy equips your church to consistently serve local care facilities while developing confident, faith-filled disciples.

No complex setup. No specialized experience required. Just a clear pathway to impact.

Why Churches Adopt Contagious Joy

This isn’t just another program — it’s a discipleship and outreach tool combined. Through simple, repeatable experiences, your church will:

 • Mobilize — children, youth, and adults to serve together
 • Create consistent local outreach — opportunities that don’t disappear after one event
 • Develop confidence — and spiritual growth in participants
 • Strengthen intergenerational community — within your church
“Your people move from sitting to serving.”

A Clear, Flexible Ministry Model

Contagious Joy is designed to work within your existing structure — not compete with it. It integrates easily with youth ministry, children’s ministry, small groups (men’s, women’s, Bible studies), and worship teams.

You can start small and grow at your own pace.

Three Simple Program Levels

Songs in Action

Using music and movement to share joy.

 • No practice or memorization
 • Ideal for first-time volunteers — and mixed-age groups
 • Immediate implementation

You won’t be put on the spot. You won’t be asked to perform alone. You’ll simply join in — and that’s enough.

Truth in Motion

Where God’s Word comes alive through interactive reading.

 • No memorization
 • Scripture-centered participation
 • Builds confidence and involvement — a natural next step in spiritual growth

Life on Stage

Using drama to show how God works in real lives.

 • A deeper discipleship opportunity — for youth
 • Requires rehearsal and commitment
 • Develops leadership, teamwork, and communication
 • Reinforces biblical truth — through storytelling

Built for Consistency and Growth

Many churches struggle with one-time outreach events that don’t last. Contagious Joy is different.

 • Repeatable programs — across multiple ages, ministries, and care homes
 • Participants grow more confident — with each visit
 • Leaders develop new leaders — from within the group
 • Relationships with care homes — can become ongoing
“This creates a sustainable rhythm of outreach — not just an event.”

Simple Leadership Structure

Implementation is straightforward.

 • Appoint a Coordinator — one point person connects with care facility activity directors and schedules visits
 • Contact the Activity Director — download the Contact Care Home Activity Director script
 • Select a Program — choose based on your group’s size, age, and availability
 • Recruit Participants — start with a small, committed group — others will follow
 • Schedule and Serve — begin with one visit, then build consistency

Time Commitment (Manageable and Predictable)

 • Songs in Action / Truth in Motion — about 1 hour per visit
 • Life on Stage — about 1.5 hours per visit plus rehearsal time
 • Monthly visits — are a great starting cadence
 • Seasonal outreach — works well around summer and holidays
 • Combine multiple groups — for larger impact

What Makes This Work

 • Low barrier to entry — drives more participation
 • Clear structure — makes it easy to lead
 • Visible impact — motivates return involvement
 • Spiritual depth — aligns with discipleship goals

This is not dependent on a single personality or leader. It’s designed to be approachable.

Impact Beyond the Visit

Participants don’t just serve — they grow. They begin to:

 • Recognize and use their spiritual gifts
 • Step out of their comfort zones
 • Engage Scripture in active ways
 • Develop compassion and confidence
“Your church becomes known as a place that shows up, serves the community, and lives out its faith.”

In return, those who are lonely and feel forgotten come to know and see God’s love.

First Step to Launch

Start simple:

 • Identify one leader — in your group
 • Choose a program — Songs in Action, Truth in Motion, or Life on Stage
 • Schedule a visit — through the appointed Coordinator

That first step is all it takes to begin building momentum.

Our Prayer for Your Church

Lord, strengthen these leaders as they guide others into service. Raise up willing hearts and new leaders from within their church. Let this ministry bear lasting fruit — in the lives of participants, the residents they serve, and the church as a whole. Be glorified in every step. In Jesus’ name, amen.
